NOVEL-3 mistakes of my life
“3 Mistakes of my life “, great and simple novel by Chetan Bhagat
Posted on May 16, 2008 by critickiran
I never get time to read novels, but I do try to take time out from my regular schedule and read once a while. I just finished a recent novel from Chetan Bhagat called “ 3 mistakes of my life” First let me clarify. I am neither an expert nor have a capability to review and judge the novels. My expressions below are purely my thoughts about this novel and its author.
Chetan’s earlier novels “One night @ Call center” and “Five point someone” were huge success and Chethan was able to develop his own group of readers. I had read his “One night @ call centre ” but still to read “Five point someone” I somehow like to read Chetan Bhagat’s novel because they touch upon the young Indian and are very different from other novels. They are more related to a common man especially youth and neatly reflects what we experience or do everyday in our life. His characters are just an reflection of oneself. Sometimes you can relate many of his characters to yourself or your neighbor. His novels are written in simple language and without much fanfare. As Chetan says in his blog “ I write to express, not impress”
” 3 mistakes of life ” is also one such novel, where Chetan tried to explore the typical Ahmedbad and its people. He talks about three friends, who are set to start a Cricket Goods shop and then narrates how relationships, religion, politics and business influenced or changed them. What is more interesting is Chethan’s ability to provide good background for the story and his midas touch in keeping the story alive at every page.
His story tells us the typical life at Ahmedabad old city, where people have their own priortiies. His explanation of the day to day life of the Belrampur is quite interesting. The story also reflects the typical pro -business mindset of Gujarati community. If one stayed anywhere in Gujarat, he will definitely like the way Chetan put the things in his novel. The story also tells the impact of communal riots on those three friends and last few pages really keeps you too much involved in the novel. Overall a very good novel.
May be it is too early to compare. But I see a lot of similarities between Chethan’s work and Malgudi Days author R K Narayanan’s work. RK Narayan tried to explore the happenings of old village of Malgudi during pre-independence days where as Chethan is exploring the liberalised India and its youth in his novels. Both relates to common man and touch their readers with simplicity.
Hats off to Chethan. For more info Click here

Anaganaga O Dheerudu review – Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu Movie review:
Anaganaga O Dheerudu review – Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu Movie review:
Director Prakash Kovelamudi’s fantasy film Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu review has raised many expectations due to many factors. It is Walt Disney’s first South Indian film. It is promoted as the best ever graphical film made in Indian history thus far. And of course it marked the debut of daughters of two legendary actors Kamal Haasan and Mohan Babu.
Check out whether AOD has reached all the expectations or not in this Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu review…
Story:
Irendri (Manchu Lakshmi) is an evil queen who rules the teardrop shaped Anga Rajyam. All the people in that place will be leading a tearful life under the clutches of Irendri. There is a small girl named Moksha (Baby Harshitha), who has godly powers and she can only save those people from that evil queen. Even Irendri too needs that girl to become immortal. That girl is protected by a blind swordsman Yodha (Siddarth). Irendri uses every force and power to get Moksha but the latter is well safeguarded by Yodha. Finally Irendri herself gets into action. How the good wins over evil forms the rest of the story.
Analysis:
First and foremost thing that an audience should do before watching this film is to shut off the logic searching cells of your brain. This is a fairy tale and we should not look for logics in it. Director Prakash Kovelamudi took up a daunting task of making a wafer thin line into a feature film. Fairy tales are tough to handle if they aren’t backed with a strong story telling technique.
The director needs to incorporate more and more thrilling scenes and various characters to make it engrossing. Sadly, Prakash Kovelamudi simply stuck to the basics and kept on canning similar scenes one after the other. The film falls short on emotional quotient and that has been the main drawback of it.
Every time a bunch of goons or some creatures come, the protagonist simply swings his sword and everything is safe and sound in the next scene. The Dheerudu is never tested to the core in the film, not even in the climax. Worst part of his characterization is making him blind without purpose. When he gets back his eyes before meeting the evil queen, then why the heck should he be blinded until then. Is this a test for Siddarth’s acting prowess or what?
Visual FX are stunning and without a doubt it is by far the best graphical film on our screen. That helps this film to win eyes but not hearts. To win hearts a film needs to be high on emotional quotient and has to involve the audience into it. AOD lacks soul and that will not help this film to conquer the box office.
Performances:
Siddarth is not like a warrior at all. He didn’t workout a bit to suit the character. His acting as a blind man is not up to the mark. However, he excelled in the love story part which indicates that he could only carry romantic roles. Shruti Haasan is beautiful and she sizzled in those colorful costumes. She can act too. Sunitha’s dubbing is not in sync with Shruti’s acting though.
Manchu Lakshmi is the asset for this film. Although she didn’t do anything phenomenal in it she has suited to the role to the T. Her walk and voice are great especially to elevate this character.
Ravibabu is fine. Baby Harshita is OK. Ali’s comedy is cheap and Brahmanandam’s single scene role didn’t work.
Technicalities:
Soundar Rajan’s cinematography is excellent. Art work is brilliant. Graphics are awesome for Tollywood standards. Editing is fine. Music composed by four music directors is not so great. All the songs sounded similar. They are well picturized though. Background score is good but not up to the mark. Production values are superb. Every frame is a visual splendor.
Prakash Kovelamudi concentrated more on effects and didn’t work much on the script. If these visual effects are backed by a strong script then Dheerudu might have done wonders. However, his efforts should be lauded. He didn’t try to churn out a masala film for the sake of commercial success. Had he given more thought on the screenplay and filled the film with engrossing elements his efforts may not have gone wasted.
Plus Points:
- Graphics
- Manchu Lakshmi
- Art work
- Cinematography
- Rich Production values
Minus points:
- Weak storyline
- Less on emotions
- Slow narration
Final Word:
Anaganaga O Dheerudu is for people who are bored of watching run of the mill films. It will appeal to kids. But it doesn’t have universal appeal and that will not help the film’s prospects at the box office. You can watch it once for the stunning visuals.

mirapakaya movie review

Listen Review:
Mirapakaya review – Mirapakay Telugu Movie review: Raviteja, who was called ‘Mass Raja’ in Don Seenu has turned Mass Maharaja with Mirapakay. Director Harish Shankar that ‘Shock’ed Raviteja with his debut film has opted for brand Raviteja movie this time. Mirapakay is an out and out RT brand film with only one mantra that is to ‘entertain’.
What does Harish Shankar offer to Raviteja fans? Get the details in Mirapakaya review…
Story:
Rishi (Raviteja) is a ‘pelli kaani’ police officer, who is dying to find someone to marry and settle down in life. He joins a college as Hindi lecturer on a mission. His target is to find the whereabouts of Kittu Bhai (Prakash Raj). Meanwhile he fall in love with student Vinamra (Richa) and when their love is growing leaps and bounds in comes Vaishali (Deeksha Seth), the daughter of Kittu Bhai. Now, Rishi’s mission is to make her fall for him and get the details about Kittu. What happens next can be easily guessed by anyone.
Analysis:
Mirapakaya is like any other Raviteja movie. Director Harish Shankar, who portrayed Raviteja as a serious action hero in Shock movie didn’t try to go against the tide this time. He only tried to entertain audiences right from the word go. Despite giving heavy buildup to this film, director slipped into jolly mode right after the first reel.
Police officer going to college as student… err lecturer is in the lines of Main Hoon Na. Of course Raviteja too did a film Khatarnak with similar theme. However, Hairsh Shankar gives this a new flavor to keep the audience glued to the screen. But the lack of proper content has repeatedly disturbed the proceedings. If one scene clicks and entertains you it is followed by a couple of boring sequences.
The actual story is only revealed in the last reel. Until then Raviteja shoulders this weak script despite many hiccups. Mirapakaya offers nothing new to those who are used to watch Raviteja’s films.
Performances:
Raviteja is in his usual self. His energy levels are superb and he simply excels in this role without a hint of tiredness. Richa Gangopadhyaya should work on her expressions if she is planning to have a long lasting career. She doesn’t possess great looks it is mandatory for her to concentrate upon her acting skills. Deeksha Seth is cute. She suits the role of a multi millionaire. She too needs to learn a bit or two about acting. Kota Srinivasa Rao is good. Supreeth and Ajay are standard. Sunil comedy hardly works. Brahmaji is fine. Nagababu is apt. Ali is OK. Rao Ramesh is wasted. Prakash Raj has a very little role to play in this film. His wardrobe is weird. Rest of the cast did as per the requirements. Colors Swathi did a cameo.
Technicalities:
C. Ram Prasad’s cinematography is good without any unnecessary gimmicks. Gowtam Raju editing is fine. Thaman music is high on energy. Vaishali and Silaka songs are nice. Background score is not bad. Production values are an asset.
Harish Shankar didn’t try to showcase his skills as a director. He has sincerely worked for a commercial success. His desperation is understandable but saying so he should have done something ‘special’ to grab the attention.
Plus Points:
- Raviteja’s energy
- Entertaining first half
- Few songs
Minus points:
- Routine story
- Weak screenplay
- Very weak climax
Final Word:
If you have no complaints to watch an entertaining film even though it is a routine fare, then you can happily go for Mirapakay. On content wise this Mirapakaya isn’t spicy.
Mirapakaya review rating: 2.75/5
Starring: Ravi Teja, Richa Gangopadhyay, Deeksha Seth
Banner: Yellow Flowers
Music: Thaman
Cinematography: C.Ram Prasad
Editing: Goutham Raju
Producer: Ramesh Puppala

Getting IP Address of victim computer to hack/access
In my previous post Tutorial: How to hack remote computer using IP Address., i have mentioned method used to hack victim computer provided you have his computer IP Address. I received immediate response from readers asking me to post the methods used to know IP address computer. Hence, i have mentioned over here the popular methods used to hack and find IP Address of victim computer so that you can apply hacking trick mentioned in my previous post mentioned above. The tutorial also mentions about obtaining IP Address of victim computer over msn.
Getting Ip Address:-
To see the ip all computers you are connected to (web servers, people attempting to hack into your computer).
Go to dos (start>run>type command) and run the netstat command. Type netstat /? for details.
Type netstat -r at the command prompt to see the ip of all computers you are connected to

In MSN (and other programs) when you are chatting to someone everything you type goes through the MSN servers first (they act as a proxy) so you see their ip rather than who you are chatting to. You can get round this by sending them a file as MSN doesn’t send file through its proxy.
When you type the netstat -r (or -a for a different view) the ip’s are under the foreign address table. The ports are separated by a : . Different programs use different ports, so you can work out which ip’s are from which program.
Connecting to other computers and what ports are:–

Connecting to other computers and what ports are:–
Servers send information. Clients retrieve. Simple.
Windows comes with a built in program to connect to other computers called telnet.
To start Windows Telnet Start menu> Run> type Telnet. Click connect> remote system
Ports are doors into computers. Hosts are computer names
(ip number or a name that is translated into the ip automatically)
Different programs open different ports, but they always open the same ports so other computers know which port to connect to. You can get a port list listing all the different ports, but a basic one is:
11 :- Sends info on the computer
21 :- FTP (File transfer program)
23 :- Telnet (Login to the computers command line)
25 :- Smtp (Sends mail)
80 :- Http (Web pages)
There are thousands of different programs using different ports. You can get programs called port scanners which check a computer for all ports up to a certain number, looking for ways in. You can port scan a computer looking for ways-in.
Anyway, back to telnet.
Type http://www.yahoo.com as the host and port as 80 the click connect.
If nothing happens, you’re in. Wow. You are connected to Yahoo’s server.
You can now type http commands (you are connected to an http server, so it supports http commands). Ie. on an ftp server you can type open and it will do something. On an http server it will just wonder what the hell you are on about.
Type get / http/1.0 then press enter twice to get the file on the server at / (try /index.html) etc.)

Allowing dos and regedit in a restricted Windows
A very simple tactic I found after accidentally locking myself out of dos and regedit is to open notepad and type the following:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesWinOldApp]
“Disabled”=dword:0
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem]
“DisableRegistryTools”=dword:0
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesWinOldApp]
“Disabled”=dword:0
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem]
“DisableRegistryTools”=dword:0
Save it as something.reg then run it. Simple.
Making non deletable, unreadable folders
Tested on Windows 95/98:By holding down alt, then typing numbers on the number pad (right of the keyboard) you can create special characters. If you hold down alt, then press 1, then let go, you got the ascii character 1. You try some random numbers. This goes all the way up to 255. Open a dos prompt, and type md (alt+1+9+4)some word. md is the dos command to make a directory, now try and open the directory in Windows, you can’t. To open it, type ren (alt+1+9+4)some word some word (ren is the dos command to rename)
Proxies
Proxies are computers that you connect through, hiding your computer. Most aren’t anonymous, they give away your ip. Some are. Good anonymous proxies: mail.uraltelecom.ru:8080 and 194.247.87.4:8080.
Different programs require different ways of using proxies. To do it in internet explorer 5 go to tools, internet options, connections, settings. In the above proxies they are in the format host:port

Password files:If you lock yourself out of Windows stuff, all passwords are stored in files called *.pwl in C:windows. In Unix, passwords are normally stored at etc/passwd. This can be viewed using the cat command (prints a file to screen): cat etc/passwd. Make sure you’re passwords are shadowed (not actually in etc/passwd). Also make sure they aren’t in a file called shadow, especially not in a file called etc/shadow.
Unix passwords are encrypted far better than Windows one’s (to be fair, Windows 95 isn’t designed for users), but can still be cracked through a program called jon.

Securing your website:Ftp Ftp is how you upload your web site, if someone finds out the password they can add/ delete anything. Brute forcing is the most common ftp attack, where a program guesses every possible combination (or from a list of words). An eight letter alpha-numeric word is almost impossible to crack, as the process is slow.
The real problem is with server side scripting. Pages other than plain html (ie. pages that perform commands on the host) are a security risk. The main problems are scripts that write to pages (guest books etc.). If when the guest book is viewed it has a .shtml extension, then it can execute commands.

So friends….i have tried my best to inform you about the methods used to hack computer remotely using victim computer by using IP Address. The tutorial thus explains all ways used to obtain IP Addresses of computer you want to hack remotely and access it data/database.
Orkut has became major social network in India and even abroad. So, naturally, www.orkut.com is becoming a target of hackers. There are many hacking tricks or hacks to hack orkut account passwords. So, i have listed most popular Orkut account password hacking tricks. Below, i have mentioned all Orkut account password hacking methods.

I will cover 6 methods over here.
Hack Orkut Account password:
1. Orkut Phishing:
As i have stated in all articles, Phishing is first priority to hack Orkut account passwords. Infact, it is most favorite method of orkut hackers. Here, you have to send a fake orkut login page (orkut phisher) to orkut friend and ask him to login to orkut account by this fake orkut login phisher. This orkut phisher is, ofcourse, prepared by you. When orkut friend logs in to orkut account by this orkut phisher, his orkut password is emailed to you and thus you can now hack his orkut account. I have added on how to make phisher in my article Hack email/orkut account by Phishing.
2. Keylogging :
This is most easy method ever found. Here, you have to install keylogger software on victim computer and give destination at which keylogger will send all passwords typed on friend’s computer. And then keylogger will start recording all keystrokes on victim computer and send these passwords. This keylogging becomes more easy if you have physical access to victim computer. Even, remote keylogger installation can be done. You can use Ardamax keylogger to hack orkut account password.
3. Community links :
Many times, you are provided with community links in orkut scraps inviting you to join it. On clicking the link in orkut scrap, you are directed to orkut phisher explained above, ready to hack your orkut profile account.
4. Orkut Javascript hack :
This method became much famous in last year. Here, orkut victim is provided with some javascript (popularly called code) and is asked to copy paste this javascript code in his address bar for say changing his orkut theme. When victim does this, his orkut cookies are stolen and now orkut hacker can hack his orkut account using orkut cookies. I have written more on orkut cookie stealing in Hack Orkut account by Cookie stealing.
5. Orkut New Features :
I received an orkut scrap that looks like they are giving the user a choice of using new features for orkut with your ID and password, of course!! When user submits the orkut page, his ID and password is mailed to orkut hacker and thus his orkut account is hacked.
6. Primary email address hack :
If orkut hacker, by some means, hacks your gmail or yahoo account which you are using as primary email address, then this orkut hacker can easily hack your orkut account using “Forgot password” trick. He will simply ask orkut to send password reset email to your primary email address- which is already hacked. Thus, your orkut account password will be reset and orkut account hacked !!!
So, always remember to protect your orkut primary email address and try to keep unknown or useless mail id as your primary email address.
So friends, i hope you all are now knowing methods to hack orkut account passwords. I have tried to keep this orkut hacking article simple. If you have any comments or new methods on how to hack orkut account password, please mention it in comments section.
Enjoy HaCkInG…..
